Wow, this is the most unfriendly comp thread I've come across in a long time - newbies can't have this, and you can't have that. Definitely not in the spirit of MSE.

Interesting point. I checked the backups of the spreadsheet and this number was filled in the original version. May have been a mistake on my part as I was trying to get it ready at 4am on Sunday.

I will backtrack on what winning numbers we know and try them later and see what happens.

There is always a slim possibility that they may refresh the numbers on a daily basis but there is no way to know for sure!

nearly everyone that has requested access has have been given access but not anyone who has joined today...which i can not see as an issue..if you are saying that me spending hours entering the codes originally and collating them for people and then trying to protect the integrity of it is not in the spirit of mse i am shocked tbh

if they want to make their own sheets the codes are on the thread for all to see. and i dont mind deleting the list altogether so we all go back to guessing if its that much of an issue to everyone

those that have contributed have been given access after all its their hard work..msers who contribute all the time to other threads, holding lists or solving clues have been given access...basically everyone who has requested except people who joined mse after the list in post 3 was deleted and had 0 posts at the time of their request,

You think the codes list is pointless so i can't see you wanting access and 2 people who joined mse today since i removed post 3 haven't been given access

The only person who seem to have a real issue with it is yourself who believes it is a pointless idea anyway , which i really don't understand as you don't want access anyway.

My friend works for a company that gives bonus's they get a Christmas bonus, if i joined the firm on the day of the bonus i wouldn't get it...is that biased also ?

hopefully i have got everyone and apologies if i have missed anyone, the outage earlier really knocked it a bit not sure all the pm's came through..you will know if i had a pm from you as you would have got a reply.

if i have missed you pm me, i have pm'd apologies to the 2 not granted access if you haven't had a pm giving the code or apologising then ive missed you, which im sorry for just pm again..

EDIT: if you have been rude about not being granted access straight away though don't bother pm'ing as i haven't really got the time to waste on people with attitude , ive already missed a few days comping sorting the codes out :eek:

we are looking at ways to make a read only version available to all, that way we know the original can not be compromised, it will be updated regularly like post 3 was ...those given access to the writeable version will still have it...and those that feel aggrieved in not having it still have something to look at.

if the codes are reset each day as is being suggested...we can reset the list each day, it will still mean we are not duping each other and discounts a few codes...50 ish people on the list 20 - 40 codes a day is still a lot of numbers we can discount...we just need to prove they are really reseting
