Partner accepted for GE card, So could i get one too?

My partner has this morning received the new GE C/Card, trouble is the limit isn't quite as much as we needen.
would it be worth me applying for one as well or would it lessen my chances because my partner already has one

It's the C/C 0% for 12 months but the credit limit wasn't enough, so wondered weather I could get one as well or would they turn me down

How many credit cards have you Got? I did notice that you have just been accepted for the M&S Card, they may find this out and refuse you. But I suppose if you don't ask you don't get, but be careful, as another search on your credit file could reduce your chances of acceptance for another card.
