PCN - Bus Lane

Received a PCN today for going through a bus lane. It was taken by a mobile enforcement vehicle. (Car with camera that catches people contravening) Thing is, this vehicle would have been parking on double yellows to actually catch people driving in this bus lane or a loading bay. Does the law not apply to this mobile enforcement vehicle? Also, is there any way to appeal successfully against bus lane fines?

I believe they are permitted to park on yellow lines when carrying out statutory duties, and I would think the only appeal would be if the signing was incorrect.

May be worth posting on pepipoo

    1/. No, exempt.

2/. Very much so - follow the advice of the other respondent -- but you will have to gicve a lot more obvious detail than you have so far!! Who, what, where, current stage, etc.
  • A google street view also would assist, bear in mind that they are up to 2 yrs out of date.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.
