Sainsburys rail offer question

Hi all

Im hoping to travel from Aberdeen to glasgow using the £18 return... only thing is i may be able to get a lift down to Dundee the previous night so could i still use the same ticket which is for Aberdeen -glasgow. Dates are the same for travel and no time reatrictions on the train, just instead of boarding at Aberdeen it will be dundee....which is on the route the train would take anyway.

Il be travelling back to Aberdeen by train??

Any advice appreciated

The last line of the Terms and Conditions for that offer say...
Break of journey or changes to travel plans are not permitted.
This means you cannot join an Aberdeen to Glasgow train at Dundee.

Whether you would be caught or not I don't know.
Are there barriers at Dundee? That would be your first hurdle (not literally).

Yes, there is barriers at Dundee and there operational and manned throughout the day.

But I'm sure a Dundee to Broughty Ferry Single £1 could be of use.

Given that there are just two trains a day from Dundee to Broughty Ferry buying such a ticket at the wrong time of day could perhaps arouse a little suspicion.....

I suppose it depends on what time of day the OP wants to travel.

But you and I both know that the booking office isn't the only place to buy a ticket. ;)
