random numbers and letters on blog profiles?

I never come on this board so I apologise if I am in the wrong place :o

Can anyone tell me what the letters and numbers mean that people post on blogs/facebook etc?

Its driving me mad as I dont know what they mean !!!!

For example: 21E2E382

    #21E2E3 is a blue colour expressed in HTML Hex. Not sure if that is related.

    Which Internet browser are you using? Do you have another browser you can try the page with?

    I think I have opened a can of worms so not to worry anymore. Its just a few people post once a day with random letters and numbers and I assumed it was twitter or something.

    I cant imagine the people that post them would know anything about html hex, whatever that is :o

    I am using internet explorer and the are posting exactly as I did above.
