Hi Dawny
Glad you have joined us!! Yeah life can be pretty hectic at times but I don't think I would want it any other way!!
I'm still plodding on trying to reduce my debts but they seem to be heading in the wrong direction a lot of the time. I am being more frugal now with clothes, toiletries etc and try not to waste money but I am easily tempted!!
Anyway looks like I will be here for the long-haul so take a seat and make yourself comfortable.

Hi Guys,
Just a quick post.
I have just placed my second order with Westin Gourmet (online butchers), got 8x400g of grass fed mince, 5kg of chicken breasts and 900gm of dry cure bacon for £46 delivered. I reckon that to be at least 22 meals for my lot, maybe more if I bulk out the mince so approx 50p a serving and its good quality meat. I am building up my points with them too so should get a freebie soon! My last order was 4 months ago and I have just used the last of the chicken and have a couple of packs of mince left so good timing (I admit during that time I have bought other chicken when I have seen it VERY cheap, can't resist a bargain). EDIT: Just found 8 chicken breasts in the freezer!!!
I am staying away from the supermarket as much as possible, using the small local co-op instead as I am less likely to be tempted as they have minimal stock so perfect for the milk/bread top-up. I need to sort out our fridge/freezer/cupboards this weekend as they are a bit out of control and food seems to be wasting, I need to get more organised with meal planning again.
Well that's all the money saving news today. Must fly as I'm at work.
Take care all

Hi Trixie,
My fur-baby is absolutely gorgeous and such a good girl!!!
No whining at night, very good with the toilet training (especially during the day!). She is sooo friendly and playful and we absolutely adore her! Think I am boring everyone ridged with the constant puppy updates and photos!!
As for the 'meat-site' subscribe to their news letter as every so often they have their mince on offer for £1 instead of £4.99, its really nice, I got the offer when I ordered but don't know how long it was on for but it does come around regularly.
Managed to avoid the Supermarket for a couple of weeks now, just buying bread, milk etc when needed. I have bought the boys some stuff in the Lyl@ and Sc0tt sale, they love the stuff and its quite expensive so a good saving, 4 items for £80 delivered and cashback! Will put it away for Christmas although DS1 could be in Afghan then
Got 2 weeks annual leave starting next week, absolutely skint so hoping the sun re-appears and we can go on lots of picnics with puppy dog! We are not going away anywhere as we are off to Turkey later in the year.
Must go, speak soon

Hey lovely,Hope you've had a fun couple of weeks off & you've managed to keep expenses to a minimum
( easier said than done i know!!)
Well, i'm now awaiting order 3 from Westin Gourmet, thanks so much for the heads up- my freezer is completely full from bargain price mince, burgers, gammon, steak and soon to be added chicken - fantastic quality, service & price (shame i'm a vegetarian really!!) - will be using them lots more in the future and my loyalty points are already racking up.
Finances are same ole, same ole - would love to say i'd won the lottery or sold £10,000 worth of stock on ebay but sadly no lottery win & have managed to list a few 99p items on ebay without a sniff of a watcher or bid , oh well at least the freezer is full:rotfl:So, definitive plans for the coming month of SeptemberWell the shopping budget should be easily manageable this month (thanks to WG), meal plans for the forthcoming week are in place, payday at the weekend & thanks to DH overtime we should be able to finally buy the new kitchen floor (16 months after starting the kitchen renovation the end is in sight, yay yay - it will be finished by christmas 2014!!! ( i had previously hoped on Christmas 2013!!)) and also start thinking about christmas and squirrelling some money away for that.Debt repayment hasn't changed an awful lot this month, we've needed some extra disposable income due to the school holidays so no extras paid off- which brings me back to the ebay saga and my heaving attic of ebayable quality items (aka - the tat that is no longer of use, will fit or is just surperfluous to requirements :rotfl:) - how many more years can i keep procrastinating about making my ebay fortune without actually achieving it!!!
Hope all good with you are yours hunny & well done on starting the christmas present gathering, it won't be long :xmastree:

And so September begins.........where has this year gone???Well the routines begin again this week with DD's going back to school, should make things easier to budget financially but makes for a sad mum as i love having the girls homePayday at the weekend so doing the monthly budget today, kitchen flooring has been bought and being collected next weekend (courtesy of ebay and a third of the price we'd intended to pay!!), extra left over from flooring budget will be used to start gathering chrimbo gifts (starting with the gift cards that we're increasingly buying as pressies - makes life easier for me & at least the recipient can buy what they choose)I've decided to set myself a monthly ebay challenge of £25 (profit once fee's & postage has been paid )- hopefully it'll be considerably more than £25 but at least if i can acheive that it's a little bit off the debts and for 99p sales i'd only have to sell 26 items!! - 7 items a week hopefully, 1 listing per day - lets see if i can do it!!Hope all good with everyone

Hi Trixie and everyone else!
Sorry not been on here for a while, what with the new pup, kids being home and taking 2 weeks annual leave its been quite hectic, plus my finances seem to be in a right pickle!!
Didn't manage to pay anything extra off my debts last month and won't be again this month! Have had to tax and mot my car, kit the kids out for school and pay subs and fees for their clubs and swimming lessons etc! But I am trying desperately not to ADD any debt so that's something!
Glad to hear the kitchen is nearly finished Trixie and well done on your flooring bargain. We want to do our kitchen but don't have the finances at the moment, saw a lovely one the other day with a huge walk in larder, it was like going into Narnia!
I'm a bit worried about Christmas this year as I have no savings towards it yet, think I may join you on your ebay challenge! I will include listing on Facebook as well though!
We've got our holiday looming as well, again nothing saved towards spending money (holiday is paid for though). I will be putting away the £30 pw from my little lady so should have £240 before we go and if we don't eat for a couple weeks leading up to it should get that figure to £300!!!
I'm glad the Westin Gourmet orders are working out for you, I think they're great and I'm sure it makes a difference to our monthly shopping budget. Our freezers are also rammed and I need to start using stuff up or there will be no space for Xmas goodies, I left it too late to make space last year and it was a struggle, my trouble is I can't resist a bargain, especially if it's meat or fish!
Right must go as I have work to do!!
Take care
