  • if you are in dispute over the comments or events regarding your ex-boss and reference, then the first thing to do is get a copy of what they've provided. then you can get them to prove it.

it's not in the best interest of your ex-company to get dragged into a mess so remember you're in the driving seat - in that you could potentially kick up a big fuss (legal proceedings etc... and bc you're not employed you'll be entitled to legal aid)

    good luck
  • Thanks Ally, I should have known I could rely on you. I hadn't really thought about that, you're a star. I'm definately going to fight for this, but if its not meant to be then I will need to accept it and move on. Thanks again honey :D

    How are you anyway?
  • bc you're not employed you'll be entitled to legal aid)

I didn't realise that. Would I still be eligble as my husband works?
  • How did the op go honey?

Thanks for the reassuring message, just want to get this call out of the way.

  • Just a quickie, the MD said she would me back this afternoon. Should I ring again to make sure she hasn't forgotten me, if so, when?

I'll do it for you if you want. Its part of my job to do them every day. I need your income, OH's income, house value, amount of mortgage, monthly mortgage payments, rent actually paid if you don't own your house, whether you have any children and how old they are. PM me the details rather than put them on the forum though.

This is a common misconception and wholly inaccurate.

I would ring this afternoon if you can Katie, but explain that you know she is busy and that it can wait until Monday.... but it's just that you're very keen. :)
