    hi,

dentale seems to have a rather oddly significant number of new users who's first post is to recommend them....spam??
    personally i find that offputting.

i have posted in the past asking for recommendations on some implant places. I'm also in the manchester area and have found prices from most places to be similar to yours (inc my own dentist unfortunately)

I had a consultation at a clinic which seems reputable in Liverpool (Evodental) they only do implants and quoted £1200 for a single implant. Prof Coultard frm MI is associated with them which gave me some confidence in them. The implantologist was quite forthright. They use a slightly lesser known brand i think, and alos use porcelain screw through crowns which I believe thanks to advice from Welshdent will be somewhat less translucent/natural looking than ceramic crowns.- that may well be more of a factor in your decision as its a front tooth-something to think about.

Not so much of a problem for me as mine is round the side, but may be a consideration for you??
I havent got my finances sorted yet to go ahead but think this may be a good compromise for me as i need one on each side :o:(

something to consider for all those who suggest that going abroad is so much cheaper overall, is that the cost advertised is often just that for the implant bit itself, the crown and bit that joins the crown to the implant are often costed separately, so the overall figure is quite a lot higher plus travel costs. A while ago I had considered this as an option as i had friends in Czech, but the fear of things going wrong without follow up support far out weighed any potential savings to me. I only eish I had the money for finance not to be a consideration  but juggling finances is a fact of life for all of us.

I payed 2.5 k for whitening, implant (with not the cheapest tooth) and a second crown (also not the cheapest option).

Try the Gencare dental group based in yorkshire - prices are very competitive - may be a bit more that 1 k for one but maybe only a few hundred more?

Edited to day heres a link http://www.genixhealthcare.com/3/9/dental-implants your nearest is probably huddersfield, which is my local too
