The frightening thing is, things are already bad but when the new rules come in its going to get even worse.

my partner had a letter a few weeks back saying he never applied for a job and they were looking into it and to explain why within 7 days but he did apply for it and the case was dropped0

How do they (the DWP) actually know that you have applied for a particular job? I've seen some posts on here that they go by National Insurance number but I don't reveal that until the first day of work. I don't have my street address on my CV so they can't go by that. No date of birth on my CV. Even my name is different. My birth name therefore the name I use for official government business is different to the name I use everyday for work and social purposes. Such as Bill when name is actually William for instance or a mate of mine is known to everyone as Trebor when his name is really Robert.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

They're not MI5, they just ask the employer 0 -
I was at the jobcentre today and they gave me a job which I did not really want to apply for but I took it anyway. The man said to me, "Now you have taken that, that means you have to write it down in your book otherwise we could sanction you for breaking your jsa agreement"
In the future I would just write down whatever they give you in your book. That is what they go by, it is quite unusual for them to ring employers and check with them if you have applied.
I dont think you will be sanctioned this time. If it is a first offence and you explain what has happened. Even if you are, you should only miss one payment.0
