Reviews of Swinton ?

Just shopping around as our home contents insurance is coming up for renewal . On using three comparison sites , the cheapest is coming in as Swintons.
Money Supermarket tells that the cover provided will be through legal and general . The other comparison sites simply tell me that the broker is Swintons.
From this site i have read quite a few complaints about Swintons car insurance....i imagine their home isurance would be just as bad then ?
Anyone insured through Swinton for their home insurance and want to share any good or bad experiences?
Thanks

Go direct (see below) to the legal & general website and get a quote from them. I can't say if the price will be the same (or better) but it's worth a try.

£25 cashback for contents on quidco too!!
Thanks . I had already went direct to legal and general and the quote DOUBLED !
Cant quite figure that one out lol.
I currently have various different providers for my insurances - contents is with Axa , buildings with co-op (took out along with the mortgage) . Co-op now say that the cover i have is no longer available and wrote to me this morning saying that they could swap me over to their new buildings insurance but when i telephoned to get a quote the price was way higher than i have been paying now...
This is the reason i am getting new quotes.
Ideally i would like to get my contents and buildings insurance from the same provider (my Father says this is wise so that in the event of a total lose claim the two companies do not dispute who is liable for what)
Co-op wont be doing away with my policy until March so i have time to get sorted . Swinton , through the go-compare site can insure both contents and building for a really good price but my contents isnt up for renewal until July so i would have to cancel that come March and loose the remaining 4 months...
Any one else have any experience with Swinton for home insurance ?
Dan thanks for taking the time to reply. The loopy one has gone :j0 -
I insured house three months ago and made a mistake on the online form, forgot to tick the contents box so then discovered I was without contents insurance. I phoned Swinton and they negotiated a good deal with me so I was pleased with the service. I also had thirty pounds cashback from Swinton that was to be paid 90 days after I took the insurance out. I just received that as promised.
I have no experience with any claims so can't help there but what I do like is the fact they are nearby to my home and can be easily visited at the shop so I see a real live person rather than the awful push this or that button on the phone.0 -

Thank you Bettie. Think we have a Swinton Branch quite close to us as well , you are right in saying that face to face is easier in the circumstances. The loopy one has gone :j0
