and now you are on the net infecting the rest of us....thanks for that.

Rather than criticse offer some constructive help.
Copy the name of the dialler/ trojan and do a google search. That should show up a way to get rid of them, or go over to the techie board and see if somebody over there knows what to do.

As for ie7 i've had the betas and installed the working version and apart from some teething trouble with the betas its working fine. have firefox installed as well and slightly prefer it because you can mess about with the appearance more but the new ie 7 is a massive improvement on 6.
Don't take to much notice of the techies who say all things microsoft are evil, try it out and if you don't like then its easily uninstalled

I have tried IE7, Firefox & Opera. I agree entirely with the following review

"In all, IE 7 RC1 merely plays catch-up with the current releases of Firefox and Opera"

There is no real advantage over the other browsers in using IE7 but with all the possible downsides.

I recommend not upgrading to IE7 for the moment, especially as there are superior & free alternatives.

If I had to choose one, I will use Opera v9.

Been using Opera since about v5, never had any problems with it. :D

MS is going to push this out with automatic update if you have it turned on, claiming it's a "security risk". Even if you don't use IE, you'll get this upgrade. I'm guessing they want to wait to see if there are any major blow-ups before pushing it out to the masses.

I just did, and it has a phishing scanner, which should prevent you getting dodgy sites. Plus, you can even report dodgy looking sites as well.

Very good idea from Microsoft. Thanks for posting this link!
