Brilliant suggestion Queenie....now I've got loads of ideas and can't wait to get started. Thanks.

Probably should make a practice batch of fudge first but my mind it whirring about who else I can give it to! It was only going to be for my dad....(he eats anything I make him very gratefully!)

Everyone!! Make it a new tradition!!!

OOoh - have just had another idea - what about getting two sheets of celophane and in between putting a sheet of wrapping paper, tissue paper etc. before tying it up at the top? Would be hygienic but also festive.

The support you get on this board is lovely - it's making me feel all warm inside!!
  • Lakekand sell little cellophane bags with Merry Christmas and holly on them, about £1.50 for 24 if my memory serves me right.
...it is not of more importance than daily life, which I have an enduring wish to make as useful and beautiful as possible.

  • You could also buy a pretty cheap/charity shop tea cup and saucer and fill it with fudge and wrap in cellophane and a bow, or if your dad is a gardener a new clean painted flower pot and do the same thing, or use any pretty/useful receptacle relevant to the recipient's hobby/lifestyle.

Hi, I've bought these cello bags at £1.20 for 10 for my HM fudge pressies. There are some others that are £1 for 10 so even cheaper. The P&P is £1.75 but there's loads of great stuff on the site.

Waxed paper would look more professional then greaseproof paper to line the inside of the box.

    Hi Queenie,

Where would I get waxed paper from please?

    Thanks
