I am planning on making some HM fudge for presents and was wondering if anyone had any great ideas on how I could package it up to make it look nice?
I will probably only make a small quantity (unless it works out really well!).
I have a feeling that I've seen something on a thread before but can't find it so apologies for posting again.
Thanks...

what about some baking parchment or greasproof paper?
Get a nice gift box ( or make one, there WILL be a template on the internet somewhere!)
PLace chunks of fuge ion middle of g/proof paper, scrunch the top together and secure with some nice matching to the box coloured ribbon and a tag saying "handmade fudge by goonlord" , maybe using a nice calligraphy pen, or printing something off in a nice font. Place in box:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -

What about that clear plastic stuff that they wrap flowers in? Does anyone know where you get it? Or something similar?
Thought it might look nice with a little ribbon and label.0 -

Hi goonlord,
Have a look at these threads to see where to find it:
cellophane....
Anyone know where to buy Celophane cheaply?

Cellophane - you can buy it at PaperChase - although when I asked the girl for "cellophane", she looked quite bemused, then replied with "Oh, you mean clear wrapping paper!" If you are only going to use a small amount, you can always ask at your local florist because some are kind enough to either give you some, or ask a small nominal amount
In the template links you will find a template for heartshaped boxes (among others) so depending on who you are giving the fudge to, it would make a lovely presentation box.
Waxed paper would look more professional then greaseproof paper to line the inside of the box. Or, you could simply cut a square of pretty card, make a pyramid of fudge shapes on that, use cellophane to draw up around the whole lot (the square of card base will give it all stability), tie with curling ribbon and then attach a label - would save the cost/time of making boxes. If you then wanted it hidden by further wrapping, tissue paper is all you'll need.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

you could also make "crackers" and put the fudge in them with abit of string to open one end!

Brilliant suggestion Queenie....now I've got loads of ideas and can't wait to get started. Thanks.
Probably should make a practice batch of fudge first but my mind it whirring about who else I can give it to! It was only going to be for my dad....(he eats anything I make him very gratefully!)0
