Hi bluejeans, congrats on getting a successful outcome, even if you are still waiting on the cash!

Can I just ask how long it took WF to make an offer? I am just posting my complaint off to them today.

We were successful back in June and waited about 3 weeks for our cheque to arrive.

Have they offered you a settlement?

I know that they have a backlog at the moment with payments and are now paying by BACS. Quite a few on here have been waiting for their monies too.

Perhaps give them a ring and ask? Just in case it`s being forgotten or something?
  • Hiya and thank you for your replies.

caz246 3 weeks to make and offer but low and behold after sending in the first acceptance form. they contacted me to say they had made a mistake and owed me £1.300 more than they first said and sent me a new acceptance form. it is 5 weeks since I sent off second acceptance form.

sarraanddarren yes they have offered me a settlement. They did give me the option to have cheque or a bacs payment, i chose bacs payment as I thought is may be less fuss and quicker ? I will give them a ring and just stay on there case until it arrives.

Yes i`d ring just to make sure ...and with Christmas not far away - you want it in your account not theirs don`t you?

Let us know how you get on please - cos i`m waiting to hear back from them with some other claims of ours they are looking into :)
  • I've been waiting since October 29th - I sent the acceptance letter back on October 27th - recorded delivery. I rang them last week only to be told that I hadn't signed the acceptance letter!! WHY would I have done that? Unfortunately I didn't make a copy so I had to wait for them to send me another form - I received two - and I signed them BOTH and sent them GUARANTEED delivery. I was peeved that I hadn't received a phone call telling me that I hadn't signed the form and that they were going to make me wait another 30 working days. However, I have been told that my 30 working days will start from November 1st. It's interesting that the letter initially said 10 working days, and now I'm being quoted 30 working days! I'm expecting it before Christmas, but we'll see.........
