Viewed potential shared ownership property yesterday and like it very much.
If I (in my own right) am able to secure a mortgage for approx £100k, would there be a problem with adding OH's name to mortgage application for £70k. We were previously turned down for mortgage of £121k as he has a couple of credit glitches and we have no deposit...
And is our mortgage application classed as 100% mortgage if purchase price is £140k and we're asking for the 50% share (£70k?)
I'd decorated and carpeted and landscaped the garden before I nodded off last night.....!!! Isn't it exciting!!! :rotfl:

no shouldnt be a problem if both of you want to get a mortgage of 70k between you
Yes your mortgage will be classed as 100% if you are borrowing 100% of the cost of getting your share. ie you dont ahve a deposit. Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0
