Ordered 1 item, was sent 15 - can I keep them?

As the title says, I ordered a set of pom poms from Next to be delivered to the store amongst other things. Once I got home I opened the box and found 15 of them. I checked the invoice and was only charged for 1.

Am I entitled to keep them and if I do and Next find out are they entitled to charge me for keeping them?

If you could please advise me.

Thanks

Mel

Yes, of course you are entitled to keep them. When Next send you the bill, I trust you will be happy to pay for all of them?
    Gone ... or have I?

Just speak to them and get them to arrange to collect them or provide you with what's needed for you to return them so it doesn't cost you a few quid to return them. If you don't tell them about it then don't be surprised if you're billed for them at some point.

  • Thank you for your helpful reply hoyles. I just wanted to know if I had a right to keep them due to it being their mistake but if not I will return them.

One of my neighbours parked his car in my parking space once. Can I keep his car?

Another one gave me a set of keys for emergencies. Can I keep his flat?

Seriously OP, if you ordered and received one item and then got invoiced for fifteen instead would you be considering paying for them all?

Maybe its you ordered 1 quantity of 15 in a packet, Just an idea.
  • Enfieldian - As i've put before I just want to know what my rights are. I know its not morally correct but I'm sure i'm not the first person to think such a thing as to keep something ive not ordered.

Forum Etiquette. Pls be nice to all MoneySavers. There's no such thing as a stupid question, and even if you disagree courtesy helps.
  • I would keep them and then return them if I was charged:rotfl::rotfl:

contact the sender and make them aware you received more than what you ordered and see what they say,

    how much is 1 item

Ive definitely only been invoiced for 1 as it says £10 next to it. Also checked on my online account and it says the same thing.
