Hi
We have just found out that we are due to move to Herford next year. Has any one got any street names for Officer quarters in Herford, that I can then look into. Or do you recommend any other areas. We have 2 young school age children if that makes a difference in area choice.
Many thanks in advance

Hi,
We lived in Bonifatius Strasse, it was next Adler Strasse. We enjoyed it you could walk into town, ice cream parlour not far away and on the school bus route.
Have fun we enjoyed our time there.0 -
Hi, we lived in An Der None - a lovely patch in and around the German housing with good access to local bread roll shops and ice cream parlour. Also only a short walk into town and there is a garrison bus service for taking the kids into school.
Captains to Lt Colonel housing on the surrounding roads.
A short cycle to the garrison.
Enjoy your posting, we had a great time with our two small children.0 -
It was a number of years ago when we were there and I don't know
if they still have quarters away from Herford in Bad Salzuflen, but if they do it is a lovely town.
I am sure that you will thoroughly enjoy your time out there, super
place and so easy to travel around using it as a base.
Good Luck0 -
