If you are going to FOS saying the tick was not made by you, I think your complaint will fail. You'd need evidence to prove it wasn't made by you.
Incidentally, why bump up a thread which hasn't had a reply in over two years?0 -
so i know that i wouldnt have ticked the box on the form .
So, when you first saw PPI being paid on the statements, did you complain about it then? A normal person would complain very quickly after seeing it. That would be a very credible complaint. The longer time goes on, the less credible it becomes. How long did you pay PPI for?i will admit that my handwriting is not the greatest and my ticks are quite scruffy shall we say and the `tick` requesting ppi just looks too perfect and sticks out like a sore thumb as they say . so i am wondering if anyone out there has anything similar to add before i go to the fos ?
Again, will come down to credibility and the length of time you have paid it.
The tick in the box doesnt have to be the same handwriting. It could be that the person you spoke to asked if you wanted it and you said yes and they ticked the box. That is allowed and very common.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
