well thanks for the help so far. in my contract it said i would get disciplined for failiure to sign the log book, but nothing about docking pay, their argument seems unfair as i clocked in and out. it isnt my fault the machine was faulty. i am just fed up with these " bigger " employers doing things like this. i found out this morning that my friend is also being docked 4 hours pay as he didnt clock out, he clocked in after dinner but finished and didnt clock out, its £50 of my money and i worked my !!! off to earn that.
As SarEL said, you can kick a fuss up but bear in mind that as you only have less than 12 months service they can dismiss you fairly easy without reprocussions.The Googlewhacker referance is to Dave Gorman and not to my opinion of the search engine!
