Hi, just wondering if anyone has any ideas about why my SMEG suk91mbl5 range oven has just suddenly stopped working. It was on and heating up and then just stopped as if the power had been turned off - no clock, no light, no fan, heat (well only residual!!) ....nothing! It is just 2 years old
and only had a 1 year warranty...
All suggestions welcome ......
Thank you.

Have you checked the consumer unit. The circuit may have tripped the RCD out.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0

fuses? in consumer unit and the plug of the oven?0

Thanks Phil, that has been checked and that is all fine - unfortunately
All the problems I am seeing online do not bode well - and I thought SMEG was a good buy apparently not£800 for it to pack up after just 2 years!!

If tgere uiis no power at all coming to it, its probably something straightforward. Its likely to be associated with the electrical supply rather than the cooker itself.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0

the electrical supply is fine - have checked by using a hairdryer from the socket - it is just as if it has no power getting to it, just completely deadLife is a work in progress0

Is the oven not hard wired into the supply????
Very unusual for an oven to be fitted with a 3 pin plug???
Some range cookers have their own trip switches in them (usually buried down the back of them)˙ʇuıɹdllɐɯs ǝɥʇ pɐǝɹ sʎɐʍlɐ
