supply and fit a log burner

hi,

i have had a quote to supply and fit a town and country "little thurlow".
They would be relining the chimney and putting the fire in.
We would be ripping the old stuff out and making it good afterwards.
They have quoted £2100

Does that sound about right??

Never had one done myself but weve just bought a house with a small multi fuel burner and the last owners said that they paid about £2000 for it to be done

Just had mine fitted (i supplied all the parts) so just the connection and registration

£381 inc VAT

Its money for old rope, not a hard job so dont let these companies tell you it is!
Go to a small firm, not someone who runs a shop as they will charge you extra just to pay their overheads. I was told this personally from a woodburner shop who said there is just not enough markup to make it worth their while (supplying my own parts of course)

Find a local HETAS registered sweep, will keep the cost down i promise
