Kwikbreaks & Inactive, cheers gents, I reckon that this is the way to go and get one of each. I've just done a google on freesat PVR and come across this, http://www.richersounds.com/product/freeview-freesat-pvr/humax/foxsat-hdr/huma-foxsat-hdr-box
Is this the contraption that I need to record in HD and view the results in HD on my telly ? I wasn't aware that you could get H.D. for free so that would be an extra.
One final query if I may please, when I was using analogue, I connected my Sky box and my VCR to the telly using a 3 socket scart that I got from Poundland. (there was only 1 scart socket on the telly). I presume that picture quality will be better using HDMI cables so it it possible to get a box which will allow me connect 2 inputs to the telly (only 1 HDMI socket on telly) or will I have to keep swapping them depending upon which recorder that I want to use ? (hope this makes sense).0 -
Do I want it? ......Do I need it? ......What would happen if I don't buy it??????0

Yes, you can link several HDMI feeds into one HDMI socket, see here > http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=220674 or http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=224915&OrderCode=N08GFsteady__eddie wrote: »I presume that picture quality will be better using HDMI cables so it it possible to get a box which will allow me connect 2 inputs to the telly (only 1 HDMI socket on telly) or will I have to keep swapping them depending upon which recorder that I want to use ? Some say there is no difference, but I would suggest you invest in better HDMI leads. > http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=48584&OrderCode=N13GW"A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi
