Thanks for that Lynn. Not did anything major about switching yet. I looked at eon but apparently they can't supply our 'meter type' no idea what that is because its just a normal meter as far as I know. no economy 7 as its gas heating.MF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/20000

I'm still here. No news.
Been looking at switching some more but its a bit of a pain in the bum I think. My supplier of choice says I have a prepayment meter which we don't, but will quite hapilly send a saleperson out to check if i want. umm no ta I know what meter i have and if you won't supply me then suit yourself. Second supplier of choice don't recognise Scottish gas as a supplier and british gas say i'm not a customer of theirs which is technically true because they use the trading name scottish gas in scotland and different account number styles, They also have different tarrifs etc.
Ihave decided that at the moment its far too much hassle to sort out, i'm gonna get baby etc over with and then look again around easter time.
Didn't get a NSD either yesterday or today by the looks of things. Yesterday Mr T delivered the shopping so that was £65 something and today my ironing board has given up the ghost, a bracket got bent in the move but now it is just collapsing under even the slightest touch so its outside by the bin and I have sent OH to the shops for another.
I am getting worried about my blood pressure, visual crap is getting worse, kids deliberatly playing up and I am just so so done with being fat. OH wants to start his paternity leave tomorrow as he is not happy leaving me with kids tomorrow but I think at 36+6 I could have another 3 weeks to go. Other than Dr's saying they will not let me go overdue and formal eviction plan to be made in a weeks time. OH has 2 weeks leave booked that starts in 2 weeks so if they induce me at EDD then by the time I escape hospital he could be back at work 3 days later KWIM.
Madwife due out tomorrow morning again so we will see what she says then.... hopefully next post will be a birth announcmentMF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/20000 -

I think you just say enough is enough and it is time to have a baby.
Emphasise the symptoms you are experiencing and it is difficult for the midwife to ignore you.
Where I live the midwives love a stretch and sweep to get you going but as you are not full term and have high blood pressure that may not be on the menu but good old sex and a curry could do it.
Best of luck and have fun xDebt Sept 2012 £140,000 end age 65.5 (maximum) four mortgages in total
April 2016 £114,599.83 (3 mortgages now)
Nil debt for some many years now perhaps 8. Need to save for a tent for holiday this year but nil else.
Over paying about £500 per month but fancy £600 so will have to think of some very money saving techniques...0 -
I hope this baby arrives soon for you as you are having such a tough time.
Going back to what you said about matenity leave and earning potential I am sure you already know about the proposed change in Paternity leave due in April. We are seriously considering the benefits of this when we need it. I earn slightly more than DH and that's after my childcare voucher but the biggest difference is that i only work 30 hours from my salary. I think I would probably take 6 months off and then let him have the next 3 months if that is allowed.
Can anyone help you out with the children tomorrow?June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Good luck with the madwife tomoz LP, hope she can organise the necessary to get the mini pixie out asap, you sound like youve had enough!
All peaceful here, got a dongle (who makes these words up??!) for my laptop for work today, visited Primarni for thermal socks (I'm such an old lady) and had a hot choc in Starbucks. Thinking of joining Slimming World to lose some lard..........

still here.. still fat. Ended up in L&D start of week for the pains but they stopped. Apparently i'm looking 'ready' so they did sweep to try kick start something but other than more pains no baby. i'm 2-3 dilated though so it really is anytime. Feeling less misrable now, I have a bit of bounce in my step rather than gloomy !!!!ed offness.
Dunno if you remember but just before i moved i had a weird letter from a lender i claimed PPi from in the past in my maiden name going on about me not responding to offer when I had a offer 18 months before and cheque was cashed/spent?? Well they wanted marriage cert and proof of house move before they would tell me what it was about so I sent that away start of last week.
Tuesday I get a call from them to say thankyou, all updated we will send back documents etc and I say just destroy as its a photocopy blah blah blah whats it about and they say they can't tell me details over the phone but they made an error in calculation in August 2008 so have a further amount to offer. They will send offer in writting but could take a week to get here. I think yay thats going into my mortgage pot as unexpected cash... DH says na get your hair cut or some treat for just me. I am bad for treating kids and him but not me KWIM.
Anyway totaly ramble but letter arrived today. the 'mis calculation' is indeed in my favour but to the tune of 5k. yes that is right a fraction over 5 thousand pounds... stunned, shocked, excited. Thats an awful lot of haircuts or manicures30 business days to transfer it into our bank account apparently.. I make that mid march. Other than wanting to go to fav place to eat for a lunch minus 3 kidlettes and paying back my parents for the solicitors fee loan a bit earlier than expected which will leave about 3.5k I have no idea what to do with it.
We need a newer car and 3.5k plus our car would get something 4ish year old. I actually have a seperate PPI reclaim about a broker who went bust that is with the FSCS that we expected to be settled in next 8-12 weeks for about 2k that we had hoped to use for car so I have zero idea other than my head is swimming with it all and i'm thinking i really fancy a new sofa as ours are leather and not comfy/cosy.
There is then the part of me that screams overpayment, overpayment, overpayment then budget budget budget and by a new sofa with what you would of bee saving to pay back parents.
Any words of wisdom??MF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/20000 -
new car seems a good option to me. We got a car 18 months ago instead of OPing 5K and haven't regretted it we needed it. I was driving a 12 year old wreck beforeOPs so far £42,139
