Hi Lilac.
Happy Birthday, and good luck to DD for having that removed. Thankfully we only ever seem to have fingers up noses, but my DHs cousins daughter has special needs and he was telling us at christmas that is her new trick. Apparently he has to blow the objects out himself most of the time otherwise they would be up there all the time, and as she is special needs she is not seeming to get that it is not a good idea to do it again.
I hope i don't have to experience it.0 -
Happy 30th LP!!
I hope from your silence that all is OK and youre not currently pushing the mini one out??! My sympathies with the item up the nose, I pushed a bead up mine as well, aged about 5, Doctor got it out
Have a great day and remember, if it isnt as great as you would like, you will have LOADS of others to make up for it! :bdaycake:

Thank you for all the birthday wishes... so lovely to read.
No pixel yet. still a little early. I am at the uncomfy stage now, Still I have hit my targets so baby is now free to arrive wheneverit feels like. We know for sure what sex baby is too so at the moment we are thinking of names.
Plan for today is..... finish load of washing in machine... not mine... mums machine has went belly up and engineer cant come out until tuesday. My sister is a use 4 bath sheets a day type girl... deal is I do a load of washing and they take kids... DEAL
online shop done.. £10 evoucher code means projected cost is under £46
having a nosey on ebay for girly 0-3 month bundles i'm also on the hunt for adaptors to link maxicosi car seat to our bugaboo.
Add to that the getting to grips with money senario and I need to look for beds for the girls.. If i order this weekend it will not have to be paid until near end of March 2011. OH also off 1st 2 weeks in Feb then paternity leave (unless he needs to bring it forward) so hopefully we could have them built and ready at some point during Feb.
At the moment I am hoping if BP stays stable that I will hit 38 weeks and as baby breech they will just cut me then. That puts me right at start of OH holidays so he would have 2 weeks holiday then 2 weeks paternity leave so wouldn't be back at work until March. Recovery after a major op is a touch concerning so hoping 4 weeks will me enough so I am able to function alone
I've been lurking around the OS, pensions and savings boards. trying to get into the grocery challenge and flylady plus I have concerns about our pension provision as well. IE I have zero idea if we have enough provision and if not should we be upping out contributions now or in future. The posts made by the 'experts' over there were quite interesting actually. They have given an awful lot to think about.
Next point to consider is we are considering some longer term savings possibly something a bit more 'risky'. To clear 110k in 10 years is a tall challenge and when you consider that 2011 is challenging to say the least then really you are takling about 8-9 years to clear the lot. Unless we get some major wage inflation, kind interest rates or a combination of them or a large pay out like redundancy plus another job immediatly then we really willl be up against it so I am looking into a small 'risk' investment of maybe £50 a month, not sure exactly what maybe just a S&S ISA maybe unit trusts or similar. I need to research more and probably start April 2011 and remover the £50 from elsewhere.
I also need to look at stoozing.. Really need to do something about DH overdraft and ideally get that account closed off.MF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/20000 -
I'd avoid ebay for newborn bundles (I spent £60 on two bundles before DD2 as we found out with DD1 so everything was v. girlie - so needed neutral as we didn't know what we were having.)
I thought once we had paid postage it would have been cheaper to buy them at supermarkets. The majority of my bundle was sleepsuits, socks they bulk them out with cheapie things. They were clean but obviously well washed and used.
Obviously depends on the bundle though - maybe I was unlucky.
Sainsburys have a lot on half price at the mo. I got both my girls 3 jeans, 3 tops, 1 dress & tights combo, jumper £15. (£30 for two)
I then went back for sleepsuits for DD2 (6-9mths) The ones usually 7.50 were £3.75, the plain ones normally £5 were £3OPs so far £42,139
Original end date Nov 2037 (53) Current end date June 2024 (40) Aiming for 5 years to be Mf

Our Mr S doesn't do clothes unfortunatly. I had a look in Mr T and Mr A sale but there wasn't alot. looking at one little bundle, 3 dress outfits with tights and a snow suit thing 99p start no bids and £4 delivery. I don't think I could beat that for cost wise.MF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/20000

Such a shame youre so far away, I have friends with little girls, one of whom is nearly 1 now and she has bagfuls of clothes her daughter has grown out of! She doesnt reallly do the pink and frilly thing either, she's more of a bright colours/lilac sort of person.
How are you today ??KimmyCustard :j0
