Insurance and Quidco

Options
I haven't used Quidco with previous policies but reading the posts on this forum I thought I would join ,however , I have a quote through Quidco of £330 and the £60 cashback (making £270) yet it is a "slow" payout taking 4 months yet I also have a quote through the same insurance firm going direct of £285 .Which do I go for? Thanks for any input

Is £15 in the bush (but risking your £45 in the hand now) a good bet? Only you can decide!

But I bet those who took out any insurance via rpoints cashback sites in the last 4 or 5 months (or more) wish they had just gone for the cheaper quote at the time.

The rule is always go for the cheapest quote you can find. Then treat any cashback that you get as a bonus. Then if the cashback doesn't track for whatever reason you still know you got it as cheap as you could.

Always find the cheapest quote, product etc and then look on the likes of quidco to see if you can get any cash back from that site, if you can it's an added bonus if you can't you know you've got the cheapest.

Some try and use the cash back site amount including it to workout the overall cheapest happy with the knowledge that after a few month they have the cheapest, but you don't always get the cash back for whatever reason. I see it as the least that comes out of your account is always the best deal and anything that may come back into your account a few month later is a nice (sometimes forgotten about) bonus.
