Getting Desperate

This is going to be more about tactics than anything else.
First thing you BOTH need to do is to get new basic bank accounts with banks to whom you owe nothing, and not related to banks to whom you owe anything.
Once you have opened the new bank accounts, OH needs to get his salary paid into the new account and cancel all the DDs.
Before you do anything else please read saltnvinegar's thread on PayDay loans: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2735257.
You both need to talk to one of the debt charities listed here.

And please stop the DMp with the fee-charging provider. None of the debt charities can take on OH on a DMP because he does not have enough income to pay anything essential costs. He needs to take back control and pay each company £1 per month.
He MUST respond to the court papers and I would recommend that he asks for the case to be heard locally and takes his I&E along. Chances are they will award the CCJ and ask him to pay £1 per month.
Do you have any joint bank accounts? Do you have any other joint accounts other than rent?
You are already paying direct and legal. Is the debt actually £40.89 and due to be paid off this month?
Unless this is a CCJ, you need to stop this month's payment. Write to them and send £1 only. Watch out if it is a DD rather than a Standing Order.
Is there any way that you can scrape together the £250 needed to pay off the payday loan this month, even (never thought I would say this) if it means taking out a provident loan. If you can get that debt off your books, you can personally afford to pay your other debts once the essentials are paid for.
Cancel the satellite TV and make little bro pay back the telephone charges.
It may be best if you can get rid of the flat and both move back home to pay these debts off. is that an option?
And go over to the moneysaving old stlye forum and put up[ a store cupboard challenge. There are folk there feeding a family of four on £30 per week, so they can help you manage on very little for one month.
I will do that definitly. My mum can hold off on her payment and so can grandad but nan cant.
Little bro a delinquent and wont pay nothing as i have asked.
Cant moved back home. mum wont have us and we cant go back to OHs mum as little bro a thief and got really depressed living with them. Long story.
Provident cant help as OH already owes them money. Don't know why wont help me though. As i have no money i pay back the 250 to payday and re-apply for 200 same day or wouldnt manage to pay bills.
Satalite has been cancelled now.
OH has sent papers to court offering them £5 per month but havent heard back.
DLC have that outstanding balance of 40.89 and keep telling me i have to pay it and they wont accept anymore offers as i was paying 15 a month until they told me they wanted 40.89. Kept mucking me about.
I will definitly check that forum out.

£900 a month is not high when you have rent and all the bills to pay so don't know who's saying you should be able to afford the debts! I used to be with cccs and they were very good so could be worth giving them a try, not sure of the number but should be on their website, they also did a joint dmp for me and oh which could be a good plan for you at the moment.
I'll look that up now and give them a call and see if they can help me.
All our creditors say i get more than enough money each month to pay them back.
They think that we survive on shirt buttons or something.
Have applied for housing and council tax benefit to take some pressure off. Fingers crossed.0
