    Hi

Can you hit the edit button on the right hand side of your SOA and go back and mark which debts are his and which are yours?

And please look at this thread, which has lots of ideas on how to get little bits of money https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2132075.

Also go over to the freebies forum and the moneysaving old style forum and there is loads of really good advice.

Well looks like something like a dmp will be necessary as you have quite a large shortage. Have you spoken to one of the debt charities yet? They should be able to help you set one up if you want them to but make sure you put sufficient amounts in your budget - for example groceries is very low, you say electric is not enough sometimes. Eating and keeping warm is more important than paying the debts - they get what is left over at the end! Would also suggest adding a small amount into entertainment - even if it's only £20 or something - if it's going to be a long term plan no one expects you to never be able to go anywhere or do anything :)

I wish it was that easy. Everyone see's that i earn over 900 a month and tells me i can afford debt (creditors)

I approached payplan but they couldnt help me at the time because again my income was too high and my OH was working full time. i dont supposed you have any numbers do you???

Because of my debts i dont go anywhere or do anything. i read but only when my mum lends me books or i go to the library. other than that i watch tv.

Thank you for your comment it made me feel loads better

This is going to be more about tactics than anything else.

First thing you BOTH need to do is to get new basic bank accounts with banks to whom you owe nothing, and not related to banks to whom you owe anything.

Once you have opened the new bank accounts, OH needs to get his salary paid into the new account and cancel all the DDs.

Before you do anything else please read saltnvinegar's thread on PayDay loans: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2735257.

You both need to talk to one of the debt charities listed here.
    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2077631

And please stop the DMp with the fee-charging provider. None of the debt charities can take on OH on a DMP because he does not have enough income to pay anything essential costs. He needs to take back control and pay each company £1 per month.

He MUST respond to the court papers and I would recommend that he asks for the case to be heard locally and takes his I&E along. Chances are they will award the CCJ and ask him to pay £1 per month.

Do you have any joint bank accounts? Do you have any other joint accounts other than rent?

We also have to pay OHs grandad £50 and his nan £35 and my mum £35.

Is that each per month? Could they hold off for a month? You do need to add the value and repayments into your debt list above.

You are already paying direct and legal. Is the debt actually £40.89 and due to be paid off this month?

Unless this is a CCJ, you need to stop this month's payment. Write to them and send £1 only. Watch out if it is a DD rather than a Standing Order.

Is there any way that you can scrape together the £250 needed to pay off the payday loan this month, even (never thought I would say this) if it means taking out a provident loan. If you can get that debt off your books, you can personally afford to pay your other debts once the essentials are paid for.

Cancel the satellite TV and make little bro pay back the telephone charges.

It may be best if you can get rid of the flat and both move back home to pay these debts off. is that an option?

And go over to the moneysaving old stlye forum and put up[ a store cupboard challenge. There are folk there feeding a family of four on £30 per week, so they can help you manage on very little for one month.
If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing

£900 a month is not high when you have rent and all the bills to pay so don't know who's saying you should be able to afford the debts! I used to be with cccs and they were very good so could be worth giving them a try, not sure of the number but should be on their website, they also did a joint dmp for me and oh which could be a good plan for you at the moment.
