I bought a bracellet from an eBay seller that under eBay rules, should have been Pandora as it specified Pandora, not pandora style. It also came with the box and bag (again fakes).
It's now arrived and is clearly a fake. A nice fake, but still a fake.
It was £25 starting bid and that is what I won it for. I wouldn't mind so much if I had known I was buying a fake but then I wouldn't have paid £25 for a fake.
Is it worth contacting the seller or should I just open a dispute?

Hi and thanks.
Pandora has a hallmark and this one does not.0 -
To win a case for fake item you will need a letter on headed paper from Pandora or from a recognised retailer stating that item is fake. Without that you will not win a dispute.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Yes i would definately file a dispute. I would not be happy paying that kind of money for a fake one. I think more should be done to prevent this on EBAY. I know some of the charms are also not real silver and i have heard that some of them are mainly lead and can be very dangerous if swallowed by youngsters due to their lead content.0

Don't eBay disputes place the onus on the seller to prove it's genuine?
I agree that eBay is a bit of a jungle. Vetting both sellers and listings goes against the grain of what eBay was set up for, but it's becoming more and more of a necessity as eBay moves away from a big flea market and gets more and more regulated. It's always frustrating how eBay seems to be ham-fisted in sanctioning genuine non-business sellers yet lets shillers, dealers in fakes and real fly-by-night unregistered business sellers carry on as normal."Well, it's election year, Bill, we'd rather people didn't exercise common sense..." - Jed Bartlet, The West Wing, season 4

I'm not an expert on this, but from what I've read on here, it's easier to raise a SNAD dispute (stating it's not a Pandora bracelet) than to get proof from Pandora and raise a dispute for it being a fake.0

Actually I wonder if as suggested above this might be easier to do a simple SNAD claim on the basis that it does not have a hallmark therefore is significantly not as described.
Is that worth a try?
However, I do dislike the idea of someone getting away with selling fakes, I really didn't think the market on ebay was still selling these through as I thought they'd gone the same way as Tiffany and being avoided by 99% of buyers.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Would it be cheeky to send a message stating that I assumed the bracellet to be genuine based on the price and that it did say Pandora in the title, as opposed to 'pandora type'? The pandora types go for around £15, not £25. The seller has been selling things like nintendo DS, mobile, clothing, toys etc. And has very good feedback. I assumed someone was having a clearout and saving up for Christmas.
Or just open an item not as described.
It's my own fault really, I should have just went and bought from a jewellers.0 -

It's a fake it shoul dnot be encouraged. Ask the seller outright for a refund and if they don't agree try a claim.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
