Paying off Credit Card?

I'm a newbie when it comes to credit cards.
I know it is good to use your credit card and then also pay it off in full at the end of the month because it boosts your credit rating.
But how would I know exactly when the due date of repayment is, before I start getting charged interest?
If I buy something on the 18th of October, do I have till the 18th of November to pay it off, before being charged interest? Or do I only have until the end of the month that the transaction was made i.e. the 31st of October?
If I buy something on the 18th and then immediately pay it off on the 19th, will it still boost my credit rating?
This is for a NatWest credit card if that makes a difference..
Thx

You'll get a statement made up monthly, the date of this statement will depend on the time of month that you first got your card. On this statement will be a date telling you when you have to pay it off by, this date applies to all transactions on that statement.0
