Heart wrenching decision.. what to do? Help!

Obviously this is a hard decision for you and you've put a lot of thought into it, and it seems to me you're leaning toward leaving the cats behind.
Personally, I could never leave my wee guy behind, his home is with me and with me he stays. He's moved home with me a few times following marriage break-up etc, and he's always settled in pretty well, even though I rent and none of the furniture is mine. Once he's had a sniff round and realises mummy is there, he's ok. I think your cats would be the same.
Cats do bond with their owners, maybe more than you realise and I guess they would want to stay with you if they could talk and were asked
My cat follows me around the house like a shadow lol and gets super excited when I get home from work.
It's your decision, and we're only here to give advice, but I think you should take your cats, they're your companions and love you, and I just don't think they'd be as happy staying behind at all.carpe diem

i wouldnt give them up, it would break my heart, i think you would miss them dreadfully, we moved house recently to a much smaller house, obviously it was a bit unsettling for our cats but they soon settled in,
and i have 4 (did have 5 but one recently got run over)0 -
Have you made a decision yet? Don't fancy having to move in this weather!0
