Wireless optical mouse

As I have had to rearrange my desk, the wire on my mouse is getting caught up with my scanner. I'm thinking of getting a wireless optical mouse but not sure what one to go for in terms of reliability and decent battery life.
Any suggestions/recommendations please?

I have purchased two Microsoft wireless mouses from www.novatech.com (maybe.co.uk) had the first one over two years now and it's still working fine the second one is on another computer in the house and that also seems to be ok, I am not sure they are the cheapest but they I feel they are good value for money.
This is these are what I have http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/specpage.html?MS-WOPM200 -
The first wireless mouse I bought used standard disposable batteries and drove me crazy - they seemed to go flat so quickly. I wouldn't even consider a wireless mouse without a cradle to recharge it in when you're not using it.
My current mouse is a Logitech MX 1000, and is great. A bit pricey but well-built and comfortable.0 -
Have a look at the Microsoft Notebook Optical Mouse 3000. It uses a single AA battery and comes with a detacheable USB transmitter dubris. Pull the dubris out of the pc and stow it in the base of the mouse, and the mouse depowers. I bought one in the USA to use with a company laptop and was so impressed that I bought two for home use.
There is nothing to download or install, it is a simple plug and play device.
Have a look here for a review. http://www.hardwarecentral.com/hardwarecentral/reviews/article.php/3604516
A good battery will last ages as long as you stow the dubris when not using the mouse.
I don't know where you can buy them or how much they are over here. I bought mine in Best Buy for $30 (plus tax, I always forget about the tax when I look at US prices.)

Another Logitech MX1000 user. Excellent mouse.
Good feel to it (not too heavy). Works well for gaming, and the battery lasts for ages. Just chuck it on the dock when you need to recharge."Boonowa tweepi, ha, ha."0 -
I use the Logitech MX1000 and it is excellent!! I used a Logitech Mouseman optical wireless mouse before and that was fab also!!0

i use the logitech LX7
a great mouse with power on/button although no docking station to recharge,
The batteries last for ages0 -
I use the logitech G7, no docking station, instead it has hot-swappable lithium ion batteries so there's no "down time" for the mouse and it literally takes 2 secs to change the battery. Designed more for games really but I use it all the time."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

Thanks everybody.
I have to say I like the look of the Logitech MX1000 and it's on offer at PC World for just under £35 - cheapest I could find.0 -
Cheapest is at Morgan Computers actually!
Here is the link:

Thanks for the link.
By the time you add on postage it's £34.06 compared to collect it at PC World for £34.63. Plus it's out of stock at Morgan.
However can't get the collect @ store to work at PC World at the moment.0
