Voice Recorder/Transcriber

Hi,

I have to record an interview for a Uni assignment that I will then need to transcribe. I don't have access to an audio transcriber which I would normally use to transcribe from a dictaphone tape, and I wonder if there were any more up to date versions along similar lines that would do the job abnd that i can get hold of more easily (and cheaply which is the main concern!) The recording isn't really the issue, it's how to easily transcribe it, as I am aware that I can buy a memory stick or use my mobile to record.

both vist and windows 7 have voice recognition built in, but I think it would only work if you listen to the tape with headphones and then repeated the words to the computer in something like word or notepad.

A company called 'dragon dictation' or something similar have been running TV ads recently (where he skydives & dictates).

I know they have a demo Iphone app for free aswell.
