ShopTo £3 credit being taken back on next order

Basically I was 'lucky' enough to use both of the recent ShopTo £3 credit codes on a previous order.
Then couple of days ago I placed an order at full price. They took the money and then didn't send me the item.
Phoned them up today and they claim that because I had used the credit then they had taken it back my account was effectively in debt. If I wanted my item I would need to order again and pay the additional £6.
Well I wasn't having any of that and asked for a FULL refund to my paypal which they seem to have done.
It is annoying because I did need to the item and now my shopTo account is useless but most of all I just wanted to let other people know. Maybe it is just me but I suspect not.

I use shopto quite a lot, so this might be useful to me, but i'm confused.
You used "both" of the credit codes... where were these codes from? Did they have Ts and Cs associated saying you couldn't use them both at the same time?0 -
The codes are listed on the discount and code forum.
Search shopto and you will find them but they are both expired.
They are supposedly for new customers only and it isn't clear whether they were ever allowed to be combined.
My point is that once the ship has sailed on refusing a code (I had already paid for and recieved that order) the company should not then make a customer pay more for their next (and undiscounted) purchase. This is just bad business and the fact I had to contact them to find out what on earth they were doing just shows they haven't thought this out.
They were helpful over the phone but it was a frustrating few days not knowing what had happened so I thought it might be helpful for others to know what happened to me.0 -
So they accepted your order, sent you goods, and then when you ordered more goods from them they decided they wanted more money for the previous order and held the goods in the recent order to ransome?
Sounds like having a useless account for them is fitting. I wouldn't want to order from them again!0
