Before I post my complaint to Welcome.....

Hi guys,

I have completed my questionairre ready to send to Welcome Finance, could you all have a quick look over what I have written for the part about stating what you remember. Any feedback would be appreciated before I sent it off as I want to make sure I have covered everything.
I have taken out the local office name and address just because I do not want anyone I know personally to know my business as I live in a small town..........

The sale took place at the office based in _____________. I do not know the name of the member of staff that I had the meeting with.

I was at no time informed that the insurance was optional. I recall telling the saleperson that I though the monthly repayments were a bit excessive and I was advised that I had to take the insurance in order to successfully get the loan. I also stated that if I was off work sick I would still get paid but this made no difference I was still told that I would have to take the insurance as part of the loan agrrement therefore I felt no choice but to sign the paperwork which was presented to me already ticked and dated. I was not given time to look over any paperwork presented to me and felt under pressure to sign there and then in order to successfully obtain the loan.

The terms were not explained to me as I had no idea that interest would also be charged on the insurance of £859.06, incurring a further cost of £799.25 and totalling £1,658.31 equating to a monthly payment of £46.06. I was astounded to find this out after referring to my paperwork only recently after being made aware that I may have been mis-sold this insurance. Please note that although my signature appears on the form agreeing to this as I stated above I was not given the opportunity to read this over nor did I have the full costs or benefits explained to me by your salesperson.

I have also included details of a further 2 loans, details of which I have provided on page 10, which I believe I was also sold insurance that I did not require. As I do not have the account numbers for these loans I would like you to investigate these by looking into your records. If you fail to do this I will request all information held on me via a Subject Access Request (SAR) in line with the Date Protection Act 1998.

Many thanks guys :)
