  • Jeez! - current waiting time on live help is 29 mins:eek:
  • Well, its been 6 mins now and the waiting time is still 29 minutes.

I think that this is going to be a waste of time:mad:

I've not used live help but at least you get to speak to a real person. It's worth hanging on imo.

  • Its been 20 mins now and the waiting time is still showing as 29 minutes. That can't be right, can it?

Maybe it's like Windows downloads and keeps re-calculating the time left?

  • Nearly an hour now and still states that the waiting time is 29 minutes.

I am afraid that as good as the suggestion was this route is as dead to me as emailing.

Once I have access to my Ebay account again I will be cancelling it. Ebay is quick enough to take the money you pay for the service, but when it comes to delivering any service themselves they fail every time.

I am so disallusioned now. What they say is true, the only time you get a true impression of a company and its worth is when there is a problem to sort out......and in this case ebay has failed.

It says 20 minutes average wait for me, would you like to PM me your ebay username (not password) and I can at least give them the details of the hacked account?

I can assure you live help is definitely the way to go with a hacked account. Perhaps they're just poorly manned at the weekend, it's shame no-one suggested it yesterday.

    Your chat session has started..
Julie J: Welcome to eBay Live Help. My name is Julie. I apologise for the wait, unfortunately we are a little busy today.
Julie J: How may I help you today?
Me: Hello, it's not my account that has been hijacked, but a friend's. Someone put a load of listings on her account which have been removed by ebay and the account suspended, but she doesn't have access to the account. I'm sorry, I was hoping to get her user name but she hasn't given it to me yet :(
Me: What advice should I give her please? She tried live help earlier but gave up waiting
Julie J: She will need to come to Live Help herself. I know that it is frustrating but tell her if she would like to come and open her screen she could go do something for about 25 minutes and then return, we shouldn't be much longer than that.
Me: Ok, thanks. She had 46 handbag BINs removed if that's any help, I doubt it :(
Julie J: No, she will need to come and talk to us.
    Me: Ok, thanks
Julie J: Thank you for chatting with me. Have a great day!
