Combine 2 photos for printing

I am trying to combine 2 seperate photos into one photo in order that I can print them onto a calendar. I am not having any success. I have Picasa2 and InfanView, however I still cannot work out how to do this. Any help would be greatly aprreciated.

I doubt if the packages that you mention are powerful enough to do this as they are not really photo editing programs. The GIMP is very powerful, a bit like a free PhotoShop, which is the industry standard.

  • If you have something like PictureIt or Microsoft Picture Manager you should be able to do it. Basically, you need to create a new picture and then cut and paste both the other pictures into it (you'll need to mess around with dimensions etc etc).

Alternatively, am sure there are plenty of Freeware photo applications... try and Google that phrase... you'll def find something...

Would PAINT (the bundled windows program) do this trick easily? I have been resizing and pasting pics using it with no problems.
Do I want it? ......Do I need it? ......What would happen if I don't buy it??????
