Just thought these sites may help when thinking about flights and travel in countries, even perhaps travelling to destinations by rail and ferry.
seatguru.com lets you see seating and facilities plans for aircraft by airline and route. It can help you decide your preferences including day and time of travel if an airline has a mixture of planes on a specific route, you can also find out food service menus and schedules so helping avoid nasty dietary surprises.
The other is seat61.com that is absolutely jam packed full of travel info for all countries in the world that have a railway, want to do a coast to coast trip in the States, get to any European country by train, do the trans-Siberian railway, ride the Blue train, Ski train it to the Alps and so on, information on routes, tickets, prices. Fancy the Greek isles by train and ferry, it's all there.
Train travel enthusiasts already know about it, have a look, who knows it may open up new ideas.
