Incapacity benefit question.

My husband has finally been dismissed from his company on ill health grounds after 5 years of long term sickness.
He is currently in reciept of Incapacity benefit(will be on partial ill health pension shortly)
His company are paying him 12 weeks pay in lieu of notice.
Am I right in assuming he will then have his incapacity benefit stopped for 12 weeks?
I am aware of the deduction of I.B if he recieves over £85 per week pension but will the 12 week loss of I.B mean his claim will then be a new claim or a continuing one?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Not entirely sure yet,if it is it won't be much over £85 pw but we will make sure we inform them as soon as we know the figures.0 -
PILON is only ever treated as capital for any benefit and therefore it will have no effect on a Contributory Benefit.0
