Online / Cheap Conveyancing

Hi. I was wondering if you fellow money savers can offer any advice on cheap / online conveyancing as I've just been quoted £1600 + VAT by a solicitor and I'm sure I can do a whole lot better!

Does anyone have recent experience of various companies such as http://www.convey365.co.uk/ ?

I've searched and read some other threads on this subject but would be grateful of any advice / horror stories etc from recent use

cheers!

Nick

  • OK I can only go with the one I know which is Conveyancing Warehouse.

So far brilliant for us but then we're probably quite a straight forward case.

    Hi

I'm with Fidler & Pepper Solictors https://www.fidler.co.uk who are doing the legal work on my house purchase. I have to say so far they have been very good and prompt. I'm in the exchanging contracts phase of the process now, so far so good ( touchwood!).
Their quotes were also very reasonable and i've never had a problem getting hold of my conveyancer when needed
  • I'm going with https://www.conveyancing-quote.com at the minute and they put me in touch with a solicitor from Southampton (I'm from the North East) hasn't been any problems so far and it's by far the cheapest I was able to find.

Wow, they're even cheaper than Conveyancing Warehouse. Keep us posted on how they perform then I might consider them for next time!

Will do, what I've found so far is that the company who gives you the online quote sticks with you all of the way as well to make sure that the solicitor that your in touch with is doing what you ask them to do. They ask for copies of all correspondance to go to them as well and so far no problems. Having said that I'm not very far into it yet but fingers crossed.

They also do a referral thing so if anyone wants me to reffer them just pm me I'll happly accept the £25 :)

Yep! Have to get over the nervous breakdown first though! ;)
  • Thanks everyone - that's given me a few pointers. Should be easy for them as I'm a first time buyer and there's no chain at all !
