I got my freebie book a few days ago and am well impressed.

The URL is a pain but Im guessing if you can tick to get rid of it it's my fault for it being there.

I also got sent vouchers for £4.99 or £3.99 off my next order..Can't remember which and I am pretty sure I'll be ordering again, this time without the URL, for an XMAS pressie for my Grandad who loves this sort of thing.

One day some company will do what they say they will do and charge a fair charge.:T

Not doing the opposite of that which they promise and charge you a fortune for the privileged. :(

    Or maybe not:mad:
  • recieved mine in the post yesterday, smaller than i expected and no cover but still good quality and very nice, well worth it for a freebie, for a larger size i'd consider using them again :)

    Hi all,

I registered and got my code. My mother passed away a few weeks ago and I wanted to make several books of photos of her to give to her grandchildren. I thought I would see how this sample one goes then buy the bigger size ones for each of them.

I loaded up the photos and when I looked at them in the preview stage I was very disappointed. On 2 of the photos the website URL went across most of the photo (I found no way to remove it) and the barcode at the back covered her face (she was sitting down in that photo).
So of course I didn't bother to go any further........

I know that this was a free sample but on the paid for books the URL and barcode are still there ( I tried to make a big paid for one with the same result):(

    It's a great pity.

I'll have a look at Photobox to make the books.

I've ordered from All Say Cheese, for the free photobook, and it arrived 6 working days after I'd ordered it, which to say there's a lot ordering them causing their service to slow down, was quite quick.

The photobook was well-made and the photos printed very well with a lovely gloss finish.

At the bottom of a few of the pages is their URL, but I think that's just because it's a free book so they've put some advertising in there. It doesn't really detract from the photos.

I've since ordered a 'paid-for' book with an offer they sent with the photobook, of a £4.99 discount off anything - to use on as many orders as I want for a limited time.

A couple of my family have also ordered a photobook each, which are due to arrive this week. They may not come until next week, though, because of the snow and the high volume of their free books being ordered. But my 'paid-for' one should arrive this week because they are still aiming to get the 'paid-for' ones out on time.

    Hope this post helps someone!
  • We are working hard to address all the issues being raised on this, and other, forums.

We have added a HELP section to the website which should answer most questions. It is very important that you allow the software to auto update (see the website) in order to fix any bugs.

Today we have moved the barcode to the bottom right of the back page to be more discreet and removed the URL logo completely (although this could/can be removed by dragging a different page style up from templates at the bottom of the page). There are also some new products and new discounted pricing.

The soft back A6 (smallest at 1/4 A4) and A5 (half an A4) are selfcover and do not have a seperate cover at all. The 8" Square softbacks have a stiffer board cover. All hard backed books have a printed solid 3mm thick board cover.

We are currently running behind on delivery of free books whilst we prioritise paid for books but the bad weather this week means we are now running behind on all books BUT as soon as the weather permits we are throwing a lot of resource at getting caught up within 48 hours and then will deliver on time in the lead up to Christmas.

Had a different experience - the software originally told me photos were uploaded and let me go through the checkout process. Week or so later i logged in to find out where my order was to find the system telling me photos still to be uploaded - not sure why i got an order confirmation if they hadn't received the photos to make the order though!

I emailed them explaining this - politely and got what i thought was an automatic response telling me again that i needed to upload the photos - no explanation of why it still needed doing if it told me it had already done that before sending me an order confirmation.

I sent back a rather blunt email from my mobile saying:

'Very automated response that didn't even bother to answer my question.
In fact it seems you didn't even bother to read it!

You leave me with very little faith in spending money with you in future
if this is your level of service
    '

The reply started without any greeting, just:
Of course I read your question! It was not an automated response but a copy and pasted answer from a list I have been using to enable me to deal with as many people as quickly and efficiently as possible.

I am one person, working remotely, dealing with hundreds of enquiries, whilst ALL 40 of our staff are unable to get to the office or factory because of the snow. I think that fact that I worked from 7am yesterday until 3am today answering customer queries shows a very high level of customer service.

It got slightly better after that but I think i will go back to Photobox.

Also had to point out long hours does not equal high levels of customer service, just more staff needed!

I think All Say Cheese are doing very well to be honest - they are only a new company and they've had A LOT of interest in their free photobook offer besides their other sales, so what with their servers not being able to cope sometimes (like I said, the company is new), plus the Royal Mail Christmas backlog, plus the snow clogging up the Royal Mail even more, and preventing many of ASC workers being able to make it into work, I say "Well done" to ASC!!! :T
