hey everyone.
I just received one of these notices from parking eye charging me 60 pounds for stopping in the service area at 3 am. unfortunately i didnt know about this great forum and emailed them a appeal letter. as below. After reading about the reasons they dont win in court im slightly worried about ignoring it now as I have furnished them with quite a bit of information and in essence admitted i was driving is it still safe to ignore these. I also stupidly gave them my mobile number does this mean ill get loads of calls?
I have copied said email below but obviously changed details of myself

Dear Sir
I am writing to appeal regarding a fine that has been placed on our vehicle at ........... service station on the morning of 28/10/2010. I do not feel that this fine is in keeping with the reasons for fining drivers who over stay in the car parks.
I had been returning from a long trip from Cornwall where i was working that night . We were extremely tired whilst driving the final stretch and decided that rather than fall asleep at the wheel we would stop in the next services and take a nap. We therefore stopped in........ services and entered the car park at 3.35am . we settled down for a nap to refresh however due to being so tired we did not actually re awake until 8.09 am. we then continued our journey home.
I understand that some kind of restrictions need to be put on the car park area to avoid misusing the service however I wasn't aware that these would be in place over night. Also it seems to me the restrictions are put in place to make sure there is parking for all when needed. As it was 3 35 am on the day in question there was no other vehicles in the parking areas let alone needing the space we took up. I therefore feel that it is not justified to fine us for simply trying to keep ourselves and other motorists safe and not continuing on our journey when we were in need of sleep
I hope this matter can be resolved
Yours Sincerely

The reason Parking Eye don't win in court is because they never go there.
Ignore all correspondence from them, they give up very easily.0 -
As above Parkingspy are easy to ignore. If they use you mobile number just block it from future calls.0
