I did the same, i'm a 7, ordered a 6.5 in the cardy's, they were too small, so now ordered a 7.5 in the argyles, they are very slightly too big, so got 2 pairs of socks on and they seem fine (i hope)!!
Why they don't just do 'normal' sizes i don't know!?

i got the kensingtons last year - I'm a 7, the 7.5 were way too big and the 6.5 felt tight, but i kept the 6.5 and they've stretched a little and are much better now... I love em.

might get some argyle ones though!!
  • I've got 2 x cardy ones in a 7.5 and they really loosened up after afew weeks.. i don't wear them anymore as even with 2 pairs of socks they slip a bit!
I've got the classic short ones which i got in NYC & they were US 9 which were abit tight but are now perfect size..

I'm a size 7 & want the Argyle ones but don't want them to end up loose! So want the 6.5 i think, if it will let me order which i'm not having much luck with :(

oh i really hope mine don't do that :o
But the 6.5 really are too uncomfortable to wear, you can see they are too small too :mad:

What colur argyles is everyone getting? I'm wonder whether to order the blue as my chrimbo pressie from DH I've already got chestnut Bailey buttons and chocolate classic tall (although they have seen better days)
Thought the blue might be nice with leggings for spring but wonder how nice they will be (and whether they will get filthy)
If my words are missing letters then please excuse me....my keyboard is a tad dodgy!!

The reason they don't do "normal" sizes is because the US sizes don't equal to a full UK size, and UGGs don't come in half sizes! Nightmare!

We need someone with both the cardy & argyle style to advise :D

I wanted the cream argyle ones.. wanted them since i saw them in NYC but couldn't afford two pairs!
  • check out the Official UggAustralia site...they advise their knitted Uggs tend to run small(in UK sizes),
I ordered both Argyles and Cardy's for my daughter(size 6.5,she is a 6)..and i think the Argyles were ever so slightly larger than the Cardy's,I returned the Argyles in favour of the Cardy's....mainly cos in bigger sizes the Argyls looked very big on the foot area...cardys fold over and make it look smaller...dunno if that helps anyone.
PS,Daughter hasnt tried them on,they are for christmas, but I have Ugg classic sheepskin in size 5.5.(im a 5 or small 6)..so the Cardys are too big for me in 6.5...therefore im assuming the 6.5 be OK for her.

Scroll down the links for advise on UK sizings. http://www.uggaustralia.com/gb/ProductDetails.aspx?gID=w&productID=5879&model=Classic Argyle Knit

  • Black and gold cardys arrived this morning and have to say they are lovely :D (dds Xmas pressies - should have ordered some for me too!). THey are a 6uk and I have to say I don't notice any difference in the sizing compared to the classic tall. Was a bitt worried when someone mentioned they were smaller.
  • Thanks just ordered Bearpaw boots for my daughter
So these in NY few years ago and they were much warmer than Uggs
    Thanks again:T
