Hi, the title says it all. I need an eyeliner that can stay on for a few hours at least. So far i tried
Clinique pencial and liquid eyeliner- No good
Clarins Pencil- no good
Lancome pencil- no good
L oreal liquid eyeliner- no good
collection 2000 rotulador like thingy - no good
Lancome pencil rotulador - not great
too faced eye pencil- no great...
Any ideas ? any recomendations ? should i give gel eyeliner a go ? i heard good recomendations about MAC Fluidline and Bobbi brown gel eyeliner... anything cheaper ?

I've used a gel eyeliner by a company called Eyes Lips Face (ELF) which is pretty good and only costs about £4 a pot. It's as good as the Smashbox one I think. From Starrystarrynight to Starrystarrynight1 and now I'm back...don't have a clue how!0

Hi morocha. I too have oily lids and find that Benefit Lemon Aid is a godsend. I always use this and my eyeliner stays on all day. I use Smashbox and Laura Geller eyeliner. I've been using eyeliner religiously for 6 years!
I'm a sucker for liquid liners. My favourite is Collection 2000 liquid liner. It's cheap and stays on for HOURS. I can put it on at 8am, top it up for a night out at 7pm and it's barely smudged when I wake up after falling asleep at 3am!
For pencil eyeliners, well that's slightly trickier, currently I'm using Ruby & Millie's pencil. I find if you use an angled brush and go over the pencil with a little matt black eyeshadow it lasts a lot longer.
Also, applying a translucent powder on your lids stops your liner sliding off!0 -

Lemon Aid is £16.50. I know that sounds a lot but the pot I'm using now I have been using for a good year and there's still tonnes of it left. I use it every day as well.
I also have the Smashbox eye primer which I got with an eye palette set but it's not as good. Lemon Aid is thicker in consistency.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. How about sealing the eyeliner? I have very oily skin and this works for me when I fancy a bit of eyeliner, I use She Laq by Benefit my only gripe with this product is that is dries shiney, sometimes I like that look other times I just want matte, might be worth a look though, you can also seal your mascara etc with it, this work really really well, I also have lemon aid but dont like it as I find it creases very quickly and feels slimey on my eyes, probably because I have oily skin to start with, dd has also tried it, she has much drier skin than me, she liked it more than I did but it still creased.Thank you for this site MartinThe time for change has comeGood luck for the future0

I have veerrry oily lids, and the only two things that don't smudge on me are urban decay 24/7 pencil eyeliner (this one is good for smokey eyes too cos its a creamy pencil liner that you can smudge before it sets)
and MAC fluidline gel eyeliner - absolutely budge proof and lasts forever (had it for 2 years, prb time to get a new one!)We got rid of the kids. The cat was allergic.

I too love collection 2000 liquid eyeliner, for some reason I find the cheaper liquid eyeliners easier to apply. but I think its reasonably long lasting NOT foolproof, e.g. I find the outer edges tend to fade a lot.
Must say though, this thread is making me keen on trying a gel eyeliner.....hmm.0 -
Hands down the collection 2000 one, easy to apply stays put all day and i have really oily skin. I have been through every price range from Lancome down to Aldi, this is by far the best.

i would recommend using an eye primer on your lids first, then you should be able to use any eyeliner....urban decay primer potion is fab, but at £12 a bit pricer, i have bought E.L.F (eyeslipsface) eye primer for £1.50 and that works just as good.
primer used under eyeliner will make it last longer, stop smudging and stop oilyness too:)totally a tog!:D0
