Printer problem EPson

Help please.

have a ******ing printer issue thats driving me nuts, and help would be seriously appreciated!!!!!:mad::mad::mad::mad:

went out and bought and Epson SX415 2 months ago, having hunted around on the net and Epson are recommended for crafters. Ok I know better now!!!

the 415 repeatedly printed out too dark, even when just scanning and printing a Photo, let alone when I tried to print using any other program, that was NOT Epson Easy Print. I was told it was a software error, ok so went to epson got it fast tracked, and it took them 10 days to decide to swap it for a SX425W. That arrived yesterday, and guess what It still prints too dark!!
Epson now say that the 425 is only suitable for photos and only works when using Epson Easy print, (which it doesnt say in the literature out there!!) and I should upgrade to a PX machine as it has 6 colours instead of 4, and that should sort the problem out but I would still have to use the Epson photo software to print from to get the colours right.
Their software doesnot support PNG's or PDF (Foxit and Adobe print the same) image printing, and I am loathe to send more good money after bad!!!

How do I sort this out?

I presume you have tried lightening before trying to print with Epson File manager?

Making Corrections or Adjustments to Photos.

This section tells you how to make corrections on photos for better printing.

    getfile.aspx?rid=111

Notes.gif Note:If you want to make Contrast, Lightness, and Saturation adjustments, use Epson File Manager. You cannot make these adjustments with Easy Photo Print.

would do but I cant find the program anywhere on the web or epsons page or the disk that came with the :mad::mad::mad::mad: thing yesterday.

Sorry getting seriously bad tempered here!!!

Ok done that, its the scan program. What I need is a way to adjust the colour settings before I print from the PC. It will not print anything other than photos properly.
