Its unusual to see costs of death cover added to mortgage- its usually only payment protection thats is done that way ( some might say often mis-sold that way )
Although I have seen first yr ( or even 2 yrs) life premium added
Can you remember insurance company...
If its life , and its paid upto date, then usually its still valid ( upfront MPPI - might or might not.... )
If itsAny posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0 -

The only time I came across Wessex Insurance , was as a "payment protection" policy, not a death plan however
1. I could be wrong, or perhaps it included both??
2. You could be naming the broker rather than the insurerAny posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0 -

They do offer a range of policies, that include "more normal " monthly or the rarer lump sum lump - believe upto 5 yrs premiums can be taken upfront - which might be added to a loan.
AFAIK Not a popular choice by many advisers, ( think generally used in a way to ensure policy is not cancelled . it also protects their commission) but if it means you are covered.....
I can't see why changing mortgage would have cancelled the cover ... although suggest you check ... from their website it quotes tel 0870 224 2390.
