AOL Disconnects

Hiya guys. Everytime I start emule after a few seconds my aol connection, disconnects. It then signs back on, and back off, and back on, for a good few minutes.

Any ideas what this could be guys? Could it be a port interference? If so how would I correct it? Any help appreciated guys

Cheers

maybe a little more info - your connection (broadband/dialup), modem/router. Does it happen with anything else, has it worked fine in the past? It could be AOL trying to prevent p2p networks by dropping your connection when it detects the transfer on a certain port.

Sorry i got aol platinum broadband. No wireless connection. It only happens with emule, it's a pain in the butt cuz to get a high speed with emule you need to running for as long as possible. When it disconnects all download connections are lost and have to start again

You have all the necessary ports required by emule open and forwarded to your machine on the modem and in xp if you are using the xp firewall. Some people have reported crashes of routers due to overloading of the ports.
