Fingers crossed they do this with the 25% off Nintendo in Sainsbury's from tomorrow.;)

  • The John Lewis "price match" will go on as long as Debenhams have their spectacular, that's what they usually do. They will only price match the Sainsbury Wii offer if the supermarket is within so many miles of one of their branches and if it is actually in stock in the supermarket. I think if you go onto the JL website and click on "Never Knowingly Undersold" they state all the terms and conditions there for price matching products sold in other shops. For example if you buy a tv in JL and see it cheaper elsewhere you will only get it for the same price if it has the same warranty- 5 year guarantee with JL.So if the tv is cheaper but doesn't have a 5 year guarantee included in the price they won't honour it. Not sure if they sell the Wii with an extended guarantee, I would presume they may and if so probably won't price match even if the supermarket is within the required radius of the store.
  • The "Never knowingly undersold! policy doesn't work on Internet prices either
  • Had an email from Debenhams and it looks like they are having the price drop in stores wednesday until sunday, not sure about online though i should imagine it is until sunday too.
  • Doesnt seem to be on toys :(
  • They do price match internet prices (it recently changed) - they will match online competitor who has a store in the high street, as long as one of the competitors branches is within the specified radius of the store. They do not price match catalogue stores. It's all on their website if you click on "Never Knowingly Undersold" - all the terms and conditions are on there, just go on their website.
Sorry I'm rubbish at copying and posting links, etc.

As for the price match on toys don't Debenhams only sell Early Learning Centre don't they, John Lewis don't sell ELC toys. The products that are price matched have to be the same in each store.

I have always found John Lewis really good - im not sure if its still the case but you use to get a warranty on Tvs, when we got our TV Sony shop were selling it cheaper, John Lewis matched but we also got a 3 yr warranty that we wouldnt have got in Sony.

i think they have changed it a bit as we tried to price match a Samsung 32inch telly last week that was £25 cheaper at Dixons - but they said they would have to take the warranty into account as theirs had a free 5 year warranty - so by the time we messed about - it was better to get it from Amazon and pay the same price as Dixons but add the £8.99 for next morning delivery to the house instead of parking, petrol & hassle etc.
