JSA and gambling winnings?

Hello Im after some advice from some experts.
Do I need to declare any gambling winnings from horses? And also small poker winnings of $50 to unemployment JSA.
I play online poker but do not live off my winnings just have fun and usually lose it all again online!

What an irresponsible response - we do not condone fraud on MSE.
OP, if you are a career gambler you would need to declare profit and loss etc in the same way as if you were self employed. If your activities are purely recreational you only need to declare it if the winnings take you over the capital levels, the lower limit being £6,000.Gone ... or have I?0 -
Im not a pro gambler or anything,just win on a few horses from time to time same with poker,well under £6000 per year.

There is no such thing as a pro gambler, all gambling winnings are tax free in the UK under current law.0

Gambling winnings are not counted as income under any circumstances. They will only affect means tested benefits if it takes your total capital over any savings limits.0
