Error #2044: Can you help please

Pretty well every time I open a new webpage I get a window opening with the following:-

Adobe Flash Player 10
An ActionScript error has occurred
Error #2044: Unhandled IOErrorEvent:. text=Error #2124: Loaded file is an unknown type.

I then get the options of 'Dismiss all' or 'Continue'.

Whichever I click on the window closes and the web page opens fine.

I have tried googling it but end up even more confused than before. Any advice would be appreciated

Do you have the regular Flash player installed or the debug version? If you're not sure, try uninstalling Flash and installing the latest version from http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/. It looks as though it's caused by security bugs and that only the debug version reports them.

It looks like your browser was unable to correctly read Adobe Flash Player or this particular java straight away. I'd advise using a different browser. One of the big 3 obviously: Internet Explorer, FireFox or Safari. If the problem only happens on a particular website then it isn't worth changing your browser for. The only thing I can think of to make it load straight away is to re-instal Adobe Flash Player.
