I have a LG flat screen tele only a small 22" one
the sound is very very poor and at the moment im running some powered PC speakers straight our of an inverted scart socket ( i never knew sound came out of scarts but it does!)
the down side to this is its a set volume and if i want to turn the sound down i have to get up and use the knob on the speakers. (im lazy)
would i be able to cut the wires off the internal speakers and hard wire some plugs to them so i could put the PC speakers straight onto them. meaning the tv's volume control would still be in charge?
as they are powered speakers would this blow the teles internal amp

The TV doesn't have a headphone socket then?
What's providing the scart signal? My Freeview box and DVD player have their own volume controls but I imagine not all do...
Edit: Just re-read your post and I imagine the TV's got a built in freeview tuner and can output through a scart connector?0 -
yeah it has a built in free veiw
to be honest i didnt beleive that it would stick sound out of a scart but i bought a scart plug with the phono connectors on the back and hey presto there is sound coming out of it (learn something everyday)
no it has no headphone socket0
